London, United Kingdom, 22nd June 2026 – ZYMIX, the UK's first SuperApp, today announced the winners of the "Vibe with ZYMIX" Challenge, held during VibeHack London 2026 at University College London (UCL).
As headline sponsor of VibeHack London 2026, ZYMIX welcomed more than 300 builders, designers, and students from leading universities including UCL, Imperial College London, King's College London, Queen Mary University of London, London School of Economics, and beyond, inviting participants to develop AI-native features and lightweight experiences aligned with ZYMIX's vision.
Over the course of an intensive 24-hour build sprint, 31 teams entered the "Vibe with ZYMIX" track and successfully delivered live demonstrations to the judges. The winning teams showcased how artificial intelligence can enable more intentional, community-driven, and authentic social experiences.
Awarded first place, Where to? tackled one of the most familiar challenges facing young people today: group indecision. By leveraging AI tools to simplify collective decision-making, the team transformed the often frustrating question of "Where should we eat tonight?" into a seamless, engaging experience designed for social groups.
The second-place project, Bucket List, reimagined shared experiences and personal aspirations through an AI-powered social framework that encourages users to plan, discover, and achieve meaningful moments together. Taking third place, Mythic presented an imaginative approach to digital community building, combining creativity with strong technical execution to create new ways for users to engage around shared interests and identities.
All 31 projects submitted to the "Vibe with ZYMIX" challenge will now undergo a comprehensive review by the company's AI team, with selected concepts potentially informing future product development and community co-creation initiatives.
Hackathons remain one of the most concentrated environments for innovation, bringing together technical talent, creativity, curiosity, and entrepreneurial ambition in a way few other settings can replicate. Opening the competition, the ZYMIX team encouraged participants to think beyond engagement metrics and algorithms.
"Your generation did not witness the rise of social media – you grew up inside it," the ZYMIX team shared during the opening keynote. "That gives you a unique perspective. You understand both its opportunities and its shortcomings. The future of social platforms should not be about making people scroll longer. It should be about helping communities connect more meaningfully."
ZYMIX is preparing for its UK launch in Autumn 2026 with an initial focus on students and young professionals. Designed to reduce digital fragmentation and social fatigue, the platform combines instant messaging, community tools, lightweight experiences, personalised content, and peer-to-peer financial features into a single environment intended to help users spend less time navigating apps and more time engaging with people, places, and experiences that matter.
VibeHack London 2026 reaffirmed a belief that sits at the heart of the company's mission: the future of social technology will be shaped by developers, creators, and communities willing to challenge conventional assumptions about connection, and ZYMIX intends to continue investing in the people building that future.
ZYMIX is the UK's first all-in-one social SuperApp, built for Gen Z. Messaging, short video, communities and payments. One app for everything you actually do online. ZYMIX launches across UK universities in Autumn 2026. Join ZYMIX on the App Store or Google Play. Learn more at www.zymix.ai.
